When we met Kevin Swanson's Aunt Judy and her husband Bill in Colorado, they mentioned to us a lady they knew called "Doodle" who lived near them in North Carolina. Hearing the story of this lady caused us to make it a priority, if at all possible, to meet Doodle. Thankfully, following our time at the conference, we stopped by Judy & Bill's home, and they took us to visit Doodle.
Doodle has lived in her "tin shack" for almost 50 years. She has cold water only, that feeds into a bucket from an outside tap, a tiny amount of electricity from 1 plug socket, and yet has been described as incredibly happy, and content. That's why we wanted to meet Doodle. She was such an example of being content with "food and clothing", and lives a very simple life, but she is so happy. It was refreshing, and a great lesson for the kids, to meet someone so unburdened by "the cares of this world". Meet Doodle....

Becky & Doodle.
The kids get to know Doodle.
"Aunt" Judy talking about Doodle.
Judy & Bill have shared Doodle's story with their church, and as a result they raised over $6,000 to restore Doodle's house, with the men of the church doing all the labour for free. (This is what Doodle refers to in the video below as upcoming changes).
Some great life lessons from Doodle.
Judy and Bill became our honourary USA "Aunt & Uncle" - it was a blessing to see them again!
